Landlords - which company do you use to do credit check?

Any recommendations on a company? I'm a first time landlord and need to do a credit check on a potential tenant.

With respect, this is worst than having noting at all because it provides a false sense of security.

A "bad" tenant can easily "modify" the report, and make himself look better than all other tenants.

We don't let students mark their own exams, nor let drivers provide their own breathalyzer report. etc.

TVS or do a search with your local landlord association. Some groups have rebates and you get the opportunity to be a member and attend meetings to gain knowledge first hand from others in the same industry.

www.rentcheck.ca you'll need to go into your bank to have them stamp some form but it's pretty easy to do. Their website is a bit dated but it all works and the credit report is quite detailed.
Autocorrect sucks
