Ah, that's a desktop replacement right ? A "luggable" laptop. You won't be using that baby in the plane I think

Also check out memory requirements with Photoshop when using Vista.

yea, I am not sure what are the requirements for photoshop and vista. ...and I am not against having a 15 inch screen either. Thatis why I am probing the experts on this site. What would best suit my needs. Any suggestions?

One would think that with more than 3,000 post you would be litterate enough to have read the first post where I indicated my needs. Second, I just have no respect for people who call other "idiot" on the internet. So just go play in another thread tough guy. oh and yes FU!
edit
....Apparently, tough guy retracted his post...

I am afraid my budget is limited to around $1000. So I am looking for the best bang for the buck. If you guys are familiar with photoediting, would 15.4 inch be sufficient?
thanks again,
ciao!

Will you be carring around the laptop alot?
Will you be without a/c power for long durations?
Those are both very capable laptops.
I have a new dv2120ca 14'' from work, I carry it to and from work everyday and sometimes i think its kinda big, can't imagin what a 15.4'' or a 17'' would be like, that would be killer.
I have a 20'' Widescreen at work and a 21'' at home, so the smaller screen doesn't bother me much._______________

thanks for the input TrEvOrLiCioUs. I don't think I will be carrying the notebook around much. Mainly use it at home to edit pics in photoshop while the kids hog the two other computers... I might carry the notebook to a photoshoot if needed.
thanks again,
later.........
