I've been recommending this company for a while, and now comparing them for my own use I see the deals are pretty hot. Reviews are really good as well.

For example, a MacBook Pro 15" compatible battery, new, CAD $89.99.

An Acer Travelmate 650, 660, 800, 6000, 8000 series CAD $69.99 new

Be certain you're purchasing genuine batteries. A year long shortage has opened a grey market selling knock-off batteries that are unsafe & may cause fires. Remember laptops since 2005 have onboard sensors that communicate with batteries to manage voltage conditions. Don't wreck your laptop over $20.

I can't find the original news link (google for it), but here's 2008 ZDNet confirming battery shortages are handcuffing laptop manufacturers.

I bought one from this website and it's been working great! I believe I bought it sometime either in September 07 or January 08.

My old laptop (Dell Latitude 110L) currently has a NiMH battery. Would I be able to get a Li-ion battery to replace it? Not sure if the laptop might have different charging circuitry in it for different batteries?

What's the point if their web-site doesn't even work?

46 viewing this thread now. Damn.
We all have older laptops we'd like to fix up...with the recent drop in prices they're not worth reselling. Might as well keep it another 2 years if we can find a cheap battery -> just don't buy an exploding one that will burn your house down

We have a lot of Dell Latitudes here at work and the replacement batteries are crazy expensive, most of them are ~ $300 on Dell.ca which is insane. Last week I picked up 2 D620 batteries for $90 each shipped which are probably gray market and they seem to charge and work fine.. The alternative is to pay $309 from Dell (http://accessories.dell.com/sna/product ... =312-0386)..

If the difference were only $20, I would buy genuine from Dell.
