Laptop Battery doesn't hold a charge

Short of buying a new battery (not sure if one would even be available for an Acer Travelmate 2310), are there any kind of tricks to at least *attempt* a wire-free set up?

Not a big deal, this is just for a project laptop...I am just curious ;)

One thing you could try that kinda helped on a clients laptop at least temp solution.

Run down the battery until its totally dead. So let the laptop turn off then hit the power button and see if it turns on again if it does let it run until it dies again (some laptops auto shutdown when there is still 5-10min of battery life still in there to give you time to save documents etc)

Anyways do that until it will no longer turn on. Then fully charge it to 100% then again unplug it and let it fully die like you did above. Then again fully charge it to 100%.

It MAY help a little but give it a try you have nothing to lose.
