I am looking to replace my Dell Desktop and get my first ever laptop. My use will be a wireless setup at home. Main useage will be for photo editing; general internet surfing; wireless printing, and updating my IPAD when needed as well as installing large apps. Looking for suggestions on a solid reliable Brand name, and to be able to setup a wireless system. Also for the wireless part which equipment to use for this IE: Router etc, I currently have high speed DSL via a modem from a local provider.Any info much appreciated.

I like Asus laptops in general. Lenovo is quite good. You don't mention what your budget is though... Do you do a lot of complex stuff in photo editing? Do you use Photoshop?

I use Photoshop and would be willing to pay around $1500. I love the IPAD so a Mac coild be one to consider.

I also suggest Asus, they make very good high quality laptops.
have a look here,

There are many options there & they carry some very nice models like the Asus business line which comes with some nice features like a spill poof keyboard.

You're looking for a desktop replacement, that can do just about anything and not break a sweat, and you have a $1500 budget?
If you answered yes to those three points, then you're looking for ASUS G73JW-X3C or similar. Massive 17.3", 1920x1080 screen, 6 gb ram, 1.5 gb GDDR5 on an nVidia 460m video card, 1 x 500GB HDD (can house a second drive, but needs a caddy.), BluRay Combo, BlueTooth, B/G/N WiFi, amazing keyboard, and one button overclocking. NOT TO MENTION Asus' word reknown "fix anywhere" 2 year parts/labour warranty, and the amazing 1 year accidental damage (if it's dropped, has liquid damage, is in a fire, or electrical surge, Asus will replace it!!).
