For a laptop, NO! bigger is not better. Most people buy laptops for mobile computing (mobility), some for desktop replacement. The 17+"s are really heavy (this ones are for desktop replacement) , the 12" are a little bit small for some. The middle one ~14"-15.4" would be good.

I'm happy with my 12" screen cause the laptop is so small I can take it everywhere and not even notice I have it. Any bigger and it would be more of a hassle. But if I were to do hours of work on it per day, I would go with something bigger.

12 inches is great. 15 for me seems too big to take to class. maybe 13 and 14 woudl be fine.
But 12 has been great so far.

15" wide is pretty good, any bigger i'd go carry my desktop computer around. (Exageration)
I dunno, it depends on what you use it for... gaming = bigger the better, but you'll need to get a better desktop._______________HI

My 12" is fine for notes, web, email, etc. Its a little small for anything else. But its under 4lbs so its easy to drag along with my other stuff.

You need to redo this poll/thread to include 12/13.3/14 + WS variations....the choices are too limited, as shown by the "other" category.

I've had 13.3", 15.4" and wasn't happy, which was one of the reasons I sold my Mac Book.
17" should do it for me if/when I buy another Mac. LOL_______________

I thought about getting 15" but it was too big. Lugging it around will not be mobile. I thought 12" was too small though, so I settled for 13.3", I like it!

i think its a good size for a girl. 15" would be ok too but larger than that, it will be to heavy for me.

15 inch T60 - pros (more real estate) and cons (a little on the large side to lug around)
