[LCBO] BUCK A BEER (almost) Tiger Beer, 500ml for $2 /

Regularly, 6 bottle of beer in LCBO is around $13.
6 bottle of Tiger beer at LCBO right now is $12.75 but can of 500ml for only $2. That's work out to $1.33 per bottle.
This is like almost buck a beer.

Wells IPA is $2 as well.

IDK. This might be a good price for Tiger brand but honestly, there are regularly beers for the $2/500 mL even without a special sale.

Currently, wells IPA is $2/500 ml

Still. Good effort from the OP. but nothing particulalry special unless you like Tiger.

Don't give buck a beer any more credit than it deserves. This is not buck a beer. It failed.

There's nothing to cash in on. Here's what 'buck a beer' actually is:

* pre-ford, the minimum price you could legally sell a beer in Ontario was $1.25
* post-ford, the minimum price you could legally sell a beer is $1

That doesn't mean anyone can actually afford to sell their beer at that price. In fact, no single independent craft brewer could do so without significant losses. The only ones who could potentially afford to do anything with this change are the large companies that might run temporary promotional deals for visibility/shelf space. That's it. *

Tiger is a light beer, great for Summer BBQs or even Hot pot so you won't feel as bloated. YMMV.

If you want something stronger, try the following:

Jever Pilsener $1.95 500ml

Faxe Amber Lager $1.95 500ml

Faxe has an awesome extra strong versoin. There is a 10% Faxe beer and I remember seeing it the first time and thinking that I had misread.

http://www.thebeerstore.ca/beers/faxe-extra-strong-10

It tastes absolutely horrible to me though but it was a novelty when I first tried it to have what is essentially a double strength beer.

Most beer has 4-5% alcohol.

Faxe 10 has 10%!!! It's not $2. I suggest you only buy 1. It was hard for me to drink.

How is $1.42 "almost" a buck? Inflation?

Nowhere close to a buck a beer. Not hot.

330ml for $1.33 = beer is $1.10 + 13% tax + $0.10 bottle deposit.
This is almost same as Quebec price.

I was able to get in on that, but only the PC brand was on sale.
It was "alright", at least their Amber beer was, but definitely wouldn't buy it at regular price.
