Found Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 year old for 144euros/200cad. It's 481/cad at LCBO so bought a bottle.

They had the 19yr and 25yr as well, but couldn't easily tell Canadian pricing so went with the 21. Did a taste test with the 15yr and yes it's smoother, definitely has a sweeter note and some other flavors. But with the 15yr being 80$/cad I I wouldn't spend 6x for the 21yr. Even 2.5x isn't really worth it. Happy it tasted good though. Just had Harvest something the Crown Royal award winner last night, not at all my thing, too much of a burn.

Some other glenlivet and macallan were there as well. Didn't buy.

FYI, Checkout 51 has $5 Teachers this week (ends tomorrow night).
Is Checkout 51 online only or have they stores?

It's an app or you can also do it through a web browser, www.checkout51.com. There are discounts for various items every week (Thursday to Wednesday), and you take a photo of your receipt. Sometimes you have to scan the bar code of the item. Once you accumulate $20 you can redeem (they send you a cheque).

Also that should have read $5 off Teachers :)

nice pickup on the 21.

ive finished a Glenfiddich 15 bottle and i found it very smooth, so i could only imagine how the 21 is.

Gold used to be bottled at 15yrs...that changed about 5yr ago :(. Still not a bad blend, but nothing like it used to be.
Actually it was blended from 15 single malts, aged 18 yrs.

That duty is now mostly relegated to JW Platinum. The old Gold was a fantastic value. The new "Reserve" one is really meh but I still like it.
