LD - SlingLink Turbo (powerline network extender) for $20
The Slinglink Turbo 1 Port - SL150-140 is advertised at London Drugs for $20.

Future Shop has it for $85 for a possible PM.

Memory Express has it for $100 and if their 25% Uber Price Beat applies..... free?

Stock seems somewhat limited so YMMV but I was at the Calgary London Drugs off of Charleswood & Crowchild Tr. and they had 2 in stock.
Good Luck if you want one of these.

What are these for? From my understanding, it transforms your normal electrical outlet into a ethernet port? Basically allowing you to have a wired connection where you could have have wireless previously?

Was For people who are afraid of wifi or have not upgraded to N but 85 mbps is obsolete and results are pretty much random since quality depends of electrical load, quality of cable, breakers, distance ... etc
keep in mind you need to buy 2 .... and using different brand is just asking for trouble.

The Turbo 85 mbps models all use the same chipset, so they should be compatible with each other. $20 is a reasonable price. I have a Belkin pair, and they give me a nominal 55 mbps connection speed between floors in my house, although the real throughput is more like 15 mbps. But that's still fine for internet access. I'm actually using a 200 mbps Trendnet pair at the moment ($35 from NCIX last year), and they hit about 95 mbps nominal speed between the same outlets.
