You can't criticize BB for doing something 14 other GM's did. If BB had the 1st or 2nd overall pick he would have taken Stamkos or Doughty. That being said, this year Karlsson is better than every player drafted before him other than Stamkos.

This years draft is ok, but the real tank has to happen next year to get Nathan MacKinnon, another Cole Harbour Halifax kid like Crosby. Burke has to do everything possible to get this kid.

Well, it is illegal to throw games, so they have to make an effort.

It's not as if the fans are very supportive of efforts to tank anyways. The fans in the ACC communicate very clearly how they feel about watching the leafs lose.

The Leafs could have started Rynnus again and probably lose, but it really isn't fair or a good idea to subject him to more torture from the fans. Fans seem to be demanding a home win, so they pulled in Scrivens to give them a chance.

I found it entertaining and wish more reporters would have the guts to ask in person rather than slag them behind a keyboard and in print. The thing is, the players are paid millions and you know on some nights they show an utter lack of effort and show up to collect a paycheque. It's quite embarrassing actually.

There's a huge fanbase (largest in the NHL), so there will always be demand for tickets no matter what their on ice performance is.

Well, he called out Dion who is this neanderthal player who supposedly doesn't take crap from anyone. I see and hear reporters sugar coat their questions with him and Lance just called him out on his leadership. It's one thing to write and berate players in print and talk show, but it's another to do it to his face. See how unprepared he was when he tried to get the hamsters going for a reply? Dion tried to act tough by answering a question with another question but Lance didn't back down. Kessel also mumbles so Lance probably lost patience and went to talk to Grabovski who can barely string together a coherent sentence but at least you can hear him. Seriously, this team has stunk up the joint since the Allstar weekend and the media should berate them to hell and back. I don't give a crap if they are young... if these guys can't perform on the ice, may be Burke should get people who can. It's like trial by the media and I think it's time more got with the pgoram and demand this from management.. if enough bad press gets out, either Burke will have to get the right players or he'll be packing himself. No way management would allow this to carry on. Huge payroll and nothing to show for?! Seriously... enough excuses from Burke and apologetic fans like yourself.
