lol, in all seriousness, I think he has a TON of heart. He is normally working harder than anyone else on our team.

Didn't like that contract at all. That is the one that will be regretted.

i'm ok with leafs losing this type of game... they have really dominated. but really, this is what having a true superstar goalie is all about.

Awww damn. 55 minutes of nothing from the Leafs and like 5 minutes of intensity and then its over and we lose.
Miller and the Sabres always seem to have our number.

When will the darkness end for Leafs fans?

what a great finish.
- so glad the young guys get to play... kadri is looking good with some solid hussle all game.
- scrivens needs to play again.. he wasn't terrible and we need some consistency in net.
ps. in hindsight, the biggest move the leafs could have done to change the landscape of the team was acquiring halak. I know its MTRL, but in reality the blues gave a 2nd rounder for him? Perhaps if we gave a 1st, or our 2nd and 3rd, it could have worked. Halak was practically given away for free... and look at the luxury STL has, halak lets in 3 goals and gets the pull LOL -- then they come back and win it.

Randy Carlyle on Leafs goaltending: "Our goaltending is NHL quality goaltending."
So, who else here ......
to see Sid and the rest of the high flyin' Pittsburg Penguins expose Leafs goaltending for what they really are on Wednesday?!?

And Kulimen the worst. 2 of his giveaways have resulted in 2 of the 3 goals the Leafs have let in.

Give me a break, scrivens has played solid (3 goals over two games, 0.929 SV%). He's looked shaky at times, but he's making the saves that he needs to and the defence is FAR FAR FAR better then it was last year. The PK is doing good as well.
I'd assume they throw Reimer in net for Wednesday.

Agreed. I can't explain this guys regression. I doubt he has much longer to prove himself before he gets passed by frattin / hamilton

Yeah I'm surprised, he was practically invisible.

I believe Miller has lost his last 5 games at the ACC before last nights game.
EDIT: maybe i'm worng because the stats say he beat the leafs 3 times last season. I guess i was hearing wrong last night when i watched the game.
EDIT Again: Ok he did lose his last 5 games at the ACC. He won 3 games against the leafs in buffalo last season, and lost 3 games at the ACC last season, and in 2010-2011 he lost 2 games at the ACC.

Why would they given scrivens 2 goal or less per game? If he does that again .... your leafs have a good chance to win. I personally think sid and co. is goin' to run wild on leafs goaltending, however. i'm thinking along the lines of 5+ goals.

Few things: I think they want Reimer to prove that he can turn it on and steal a game. Yes, the penguins are in another league compared to the leafs, but Reimer stealing a game like this (which he did last year - the leafs were 2-1-1 vs the penguins last year, with Reimer a 1-0 shut out, gusty playing the other 3).
If Reimer wants to win his spot back he needs to prove it vs the penguins, not the islanders.
The leafs were the better team in both of these games, allowing an avg 21 shots on goal and only allowing 1 PPG. That's phenomenally better compared to last year, and a reflection of a more defensive attitude that carlyle is pushing.
I predict a 3-2 OT win by the penguins, but I think if Reimer plays he'll stand on his head.
