Leaside / Thorncliff Area ?? aerodrome crescent
For people around this area... what do you think of aerodrome crescent townhouses area or the new condo coming up there??
Looking at the demographics / area reports... Leaside looks really good (Porsche) and Thorncliff doesn't look that attractive. How would you rate this area since its at the border of both neighbourhood.
Please provide your two cents... thanks!

I think from a property value that area is great as the nearby plazas are all getting expanded and built up, there are huge beautiful parks nearby, science centre is nearby. There are lots of schools.
I don`t think thorncliffe park would affect this place in any way. I just moved out of thorncliffe a few months ago, yes it is all immigrants, but I`ve never had any problems in the area. Its super safe, and the people are nice, the area is just a bit unkept since its all rental apartments. Living at the townhouses or condo you wonnt really even need to go into throncliffe if you dont want to as there isn`t really anything interesting there. I always went out of that area for shopping or parks or entertainment anyway.

You are right to think that the Aerodrome areas doesn't have the same status as the rest of Leaside. That being said, it is an extension of Leaside, and in my opinion, has little connection to the Thorncliffe area. Also, in terms of schools, the kids living in the Aerodrome area are bussed to Bennington Heights and then follow the pathway to Bessborough and then to Leaside High School (all good schools). I have known people who have rented in that area and they liked it. From what I understand, there is a mix of rentals and owned condo townhouses. As for the new condo building(s?) coming up over there, I do wonder a bit how that might affect the area although I wouldn't assume it would be a negative at all.
