Leather Bag for Wife Suggestions

Hi all:

Looking for a gift in the next month or two for my wife. I know she wants a leather backpack so that shes not always carrying around her big purse.

I know she likes the Michael Kors Leather Backpack. I don't like the price tag lol (~$300 USD). Not even sure if it's out in Canada yet? I can't find it on the Michael Kor's Canada website. Anyone have any suggestions on an elegant/bit sporty, good quality women's leather backpack for ~$125-150?

I do not see any leather Michael Kors backpacks (I see the nylon and PVC)...not a huge fan of MK myself but if she likes it, go for that one.

If you've got a US shipping address, what about this one from Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Leather-B ... r+backpack $62 USD.

Or this one looks pretty much the same... http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Leather-B ... 37DM3SFXY0

Yeah, I had to change it to the US website to see it (do the think it's in Canadian catalogue yet). And I don't have a US shipping address so that won't work.

If she wants Michael Kors buy her the Michael Kors.

Looks like you'll have to make a trip across the border.

Just ask the wife what she wants as a gift in the $125 - $150 range. Maybe it could be an experience rather than a physical item. From my observations, people can be very particular about what fashions they like (just like with food, music, tv shows, etc.)

Danier has some affordable alternatives in your price range. You would be paying for the leather and quality and not the name like MK

Doesn't matter what the prices are at Danier Leather. If she doesn't like any of them, then there's no point getting her one.

Only thing is their backpacks are up there in price too, but is reasonable for leather so an MK is not as far out as OP thinks. However, if you are going to the outlet than stop by Coach too. Coach is becoming a fashion brand but they started with leather goods so I think it may be a better choice if price is the same.

It's not about leather quality or craftsmanship, it's about brand. If you want to see a look of disappointment cross her face buy her a danier.

Buy her a ugly ass $20 leather back pack, wrap it up real nice and give it to her for her birthday. Then when that look of disappointment crosses her face you break out MK back pack and you go from zero to hero immediately.
