leather cleaner/conditioner
When I bought me leather couch a while ago, I got a leather cleaning and conditioner kit with it. It retailed for about $50. Just finished it off. Wondering what other people are using and what is the cost??
On the box, it said "good for type A & P leathers"...if that makes a difference?

I usually buy a leather conditioner for automobile leather interiors. Usually about 12 bucks a bottle.

I would go to the place you bought the couch and get the product from them. If you get something else and it rubs off and wrecks your clothes or, if it does damage to your leather, then you have no recourse but, if you buy their product you can always go back to them.
My friend had to get seat covers for his car because he used the wrong leather care product and it took many months for it to wear off.

I use Lexol cleaners and conditioners for my BMW, and they are super! I'm about to try a cheaper leather chair in our house to see how it goes... Lexol is usually about $8-$12 per bottle (you'd need 1 cleaner/1 conditioner) and can be found in just about any tack shop. It's original purpose is for leather horse saddles (thus the tack shop) and it certainly gives you the saddle leather smell (sans horse!) - may not be for everyone, but I quite like it...

I am not sure where you are located, but if there is a Restoration Hardware store closeby, they sell a product called Leather CPR and it does a nice job of cleaning/conditioning the leather.
Here is a link to the product: http://www.leathercpr.com/
A big jar costs about $28, but that should easily last you a few years. I would apply this maybe once every 3 to 6 months.
Although I have not used the Lexol brand of products, I have heard good things about it.

leather care
never fails. go to danier leather, purchase their leather conditioner. this has dual purpose. it cleans and protects, and softens i might add. because it is meant for fine leather, it is mild on the leather and it wont rub off onto your clothes. (leather jackets are worn on top of clothes)

I was looking for leather CPR , but could not find it. I ended up buying leather cleaner/conditioner by Armour All, at CT, in the automotive section for $9 / bottle. It removed the dirt far better than the previous cleaner/conditioner that I got at the leather furniture store, that retailed for almost $50.

Thanks to those who posted here. I needed a solution (no pun intended) for my leather couch. Just bought 2x 200ml bottles of Lexol cleaner and conditioner off E-Bay for $9.95 plus $11 for shipping. Seemed like a great deal.
