this works as a descent spot light.
Its not the brightest, but considering its only a 1watt light bulb your saving tons of energy.
Also... for the energy that it uses, it is extremely bright!

LED bulbs
The back area of our town house's communal driveway is very dark and last week there was some girl sitting right at the corner where I back my car towards to get out. I was doing a car swap and when I walk back then I saw her and it gave me a bit of a shock. My car has bad visibility on the back and when I was backing out I couldn't see her cause well the back up light isn't so bright. I could have easily have ran her over cause there isn't that much space in that corner when I put the car's rear end there.
Anyhow.
I want to see about getting some LED bulbs so I can have that area illuminated at all times during the night without running up a huge electricity bill. The problem is I can't find anything on google as to a reliable place to get it from. I'd prefer to be able to buy them directly from a store in the Toronto area. Do anyone know of such a place? If not which online shop should I go to? I need something that at least gives me the same level of lighting as a 60 watt conventional bulb.
And yes I already considered and put some solar garden LED lights in the general area but they aren't doing the job 100%.
Thanks!

LED's can be a flood light depending on the lens and reflector used. LED's themselves emit very narrow bands of light but its all in the lens.
http://www.insaini.com .. there is even a regular A19 incandescent bulb LED replacement.
