Oh my bad, thought this was the EPP thread, correct link is this one: lenovo-thinkpad-ideapad-epp-discounted- ... in-777107/

Nothing special for EPP this black friday compare to last year...no souped up laptop deal, too bad. (Good for my wallet though :D )

I was hoping to get an x230 on the cheap since it's being discontinued. But at ~$750, it's actually more expensive than what it was a couple of weeks ago when I saw it for right under $700.

Depends on what model of Lenovo you are talking about.

What's the cheapest the X230 has been in the past?

Looking to get one since I broke my Ideapad but the sale doesn't seem very special at the moment.

I doubt that a similarly configured x230 has been cheaper in the past but that doesn't make this one a good deal. I don't know what Lenovo is thinking... Pricing a model (which is about to be phased out) just a bit cheaper than the x240.

I had an X61, have an X200 and was ready to upgrade to an x230 but I decided to jump ship and move to a T440s.

How much did you get it for? And did you get the 1080p IPS screen *drool*? I'm not sure if the Canadian site has it but I would hope so.

Are lenovo laptop deals really good? Bought the idea pad flex during black Friday and I just can't but keep but noticing that all of their special and even doorbusters were available the entire time and even now today!

Any reason s why?

FYI. This is the model I ended up going with. It was $30 more than the other one I had listed but has the better wireless card and comes with the 24GB SSD cache drive. Delivery should be next week. $899 is still the current price on the EPP site.

It looks like Lenovo has dropped their prices by around $50 since I placed my order during their Black Friday sale.

Meanwhile, my estimated shipping date is constantly getting pushed back so realistically, I don't expect to see it this year. The least they should do is match the new price since my order hasn't even been processed yet. I'll call customer service on Monday.

That's Lenovo for you! I've seen better deals from them even before Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I thought they would do better.

They overprice things then give "discounts" on them, reducing them to the prices they should have been from the very beginning (regular price).
