I've been waiting for these to reach 40% off like they were in Fall but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen sadly..

In need of a laptop for work. I can't decide between these and the Huawei D at Microsoft Store. Laptop would be mainly used for payroll purposes. You guys know of any good laptops? I want it to last a long time.

Looking at an e585 with 8gb ram and second ssd added for $738 before Ebates and tax. Good deal? Not looking to game or do video editing.

Not bad deal. I got the E485 with 8 GB RAM and 1080p screen in August 2018 for $700 before taxes and Ebates. Make sure to get the FHD 1920x1080 resolution screen, 1366x768 is too low resolution for 2018.

After using an iPad Air for years, I actually wish I got a 4K laptop screen.

What's wrong with the T-series? When I used them they were like the gold standard in laptops.

I'd take the Thinkpad T Series, they have a long history of lasting for a very long time. Huawei? Not so much.

New Tx90 and X390 are expected in April.
Most likely, there will be good discount on x80

Purchased Thinkpad E580 on Black Friday. Its screen is terrible, and wifi often disconnects. Returned.

I'd simply buy an SSD separately and replace the primary HDD.

With an upgraded IPS full HD screen, it is actually not bad
