I think this is the cheapest I've seen the x1 carbon (fully loaded) go on sale.

There's no sale on the custom model, unfortunately.

Great laptop, great spec sheet, price is a little high, but you're getting an X1 Carbon.

Many folks will like this.

DDR3? Typo?
The new 8th generation Intel® Quad Core™ CPUs boost performance 35% over the previous generation. Memory is even faster too with LPDDR3. When you add in the LTE-A (optional)* card, which keeps your ThinkPad X1 Carbon connected around the globe, you can expect to be productive no matter where life takes you. Plus, if you opt for the IR camera, it includes Glance by Mirametrix®, which merges face-, eye-, and gaze-tracking, resulting in a more intuitive and productive interaction by automatically focusing the cursor and shifting windows with just a move of your eye!

Nah, bud.

16 GB LPDDR3 2133 MHz

Low power DDR3, apparently the DDR4 variant was never commercialized. You won't notice the minor haircut in performance. It's just another horn-measuring contest, nothing to fuss about.

I saw the Carbon X1 on sale at a Costco US warehouse this past weekend. Similar specs except the Costco version had Intel® Core™ i7-8550U chip. Price was $1299.99 USD. I was thinking of getting it but didn't.

FHD screen, the most attractive thing about these laptops is the HDR WQHD.
OK deal, now that PCI-E m2 ssd are crashing down, it's much less hot than before.

Having missed the Black Friday sale, I have been waiting several months for an X1 Carbon Sale with HDR display and upgrade CPU just for the 16gb. Might as well spend a bit more and get it loaded! Thanks, OP!
