[Lenovo Canada] Lenovo EPP Black Friday Early Access

Though the Lenovo EPP is in the ongoing deals section I did not see it here
New Link:
https://www.lenovo.com/ca/en/ibmeppca/

Passcode : IBMEPP

Make sure you compare with the regular lenovo site factoring in coupons and eBates

Link to Lenovo Canada Deals which will likely be the same deals but slightly better for EPP: https://www.redflagdeals.com/deal/compu ... board-76-/

The back to school prices were better. They had an additional 15% off or so for a weekend at that time. Probably wait till BF

Do you have a link for comparison? Should help when scrutinising their 'deals' -- as we often have to to find a truly hot deal.

I bought the X1 Extreme $1643.40 configuration (i7-8750H, FHD, 16GB RAM, 512 SSD) yesterday. Received a shipping notification today and tracking says it should be here on Thursday.

I'll be using it for schoolwork (software engineering), software development, light photo editing and general browsing. I'm not sure what deals will pop up on Black Friday. If there's a better deal, I'll swap it out!

I do not have any link. The discount was offered during the long weekend in August. The had upto 40% off + special weekend discount (Thinkweekend).

The prices I recall. The base P52 was around 1250. Right now it is 1450 (In comparison P51 last year was on sale during BF for around 1350 )

Base P52s was a little over 1000$. Currently it is around 1100.

They also had a lower end T480 model that was 880(or probably 840). Do not see that now.

I have been thinking about upgrading for almost 2 years now and watching the prices of P51/P52 closely. I did not buy in August since i thought BF would be cheaper. Last year they had the best deal for P51 during BF. Hope that helps.

Ah, makes sense - I bet that we’ll see the same on Black Friday at the very least and maybe even in another preview deal though mobile workstations are a bit more niche so they might not. They have been rotating the preview deals every week or two. The US flyer is 30% and most of the time the EPP is another 10%.

I do really like the fact that with Lenovo the price is the price and not having to juggle: eBates, unidays, EPP, coupons, chat discounts, credits, and dell rewards to get a decent deal out of them. Especially when missing one could be the difference of a hot deal or not.

I really want to order either that config or a $1525 x1 carbon with hdr panel and i7/16gb/256pcie ssd

Can you give feedback on the screen if possible tomorrow, as long as it's a good 1080p ips I can deal.. I'd love the 4k but its 2200+

http://notebookcheck.net does a great job of reviewing the screens and laptops in general for that matter. I'd say that most of Lenovo's 1080p screens in the X series would qualify as 'good'

If you dont need the crazy extra horses in the X1E I'd go X1 Carbon with the HDR panel any day of the week -- unbelievably light.

That's the configuration with the 1TB SSD, right? I'm definitely still tempted by that. It has onboard RAM, unfortunately, but at least it's 16GB.

I'll post my thoughts once I get the X1 Extreme tomorrow!

I didn't realize it was back on this sale at this price until I read your comment. Thank you.

Ordered same configuration this morning.

$1,273.20 Before Tax

My old chromebook was dying and I wanted something for around the house so weight was a factor. I also love that this has ethernet, thunderbolt 3 (will probably be getting an EGPU at some point) in such a thin/light package.

The reviews I've read indicate this model doesn't have issues with thermal throttling under load like the X1 Carbons, will be putting it to the test.

Worth nothing I'll be swapping Windows out for Linux so Linux support was a must.

Does anyone know if this goes cheaper on a sale if Lenovo will do an adjustment, or do I need to return and re-order?

Lenovo frequently restocks, so it doesn’t hurt to check daily If there is a configuration you’re really interested in.
