I think the brands of the chips are different.

I mean like is it worth getting the Intel version or the AMD is just as good, it's just for regular use, no gaming...

lol sorry for the early morning snark. You need to also give the chip model so you can get a good answer.
I'll make the assumption that you're talking about AMD Ryzen 3 3200U vs Intel Pentium Gold 5405U

I meant the same laptop s340 but with the AMD chip and there is one with the Intel core i3 chip...

 "Processor: 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i3-8145U"

I just want to know if its worth paying a bit more for the intel or just take the AMD.

I am afraid you have to make the decision yourself. Personally, I would go with Intel CPU.

roughly looks like the RX Vega 3 is maybe 10% faster on average than Intel 620 . Depending on the bench. It wins and loses.

https://www.notebookcheck.net/UHD-Graph ... 598.0.html.

I'd be more worried about the the noise levels, cooling and power consumption between the two chips than 10% more gaming performance which is negligible since they both suck at new games or demanding old ones.

I'd go intel on this comparison for a few dollars more.

This is an extremely slow laptop. Only scores 4800 in CPU bench and the Vega 3 can't play any modern games.

To give you an idea of how slow it is, the $500 HP laptop I bought in 2011 with an i5-2450m scores 3400 and a 7690m xt graphics card is only 5% slower.

Agreed. This is an extremely weak CPU. I can't believe the graphics card performs even worse than Intel's - it was normally the other way around. My $500 i5-7200U 1080p 2017 Dell laptop has a score of 900 (HD 620) in the 3d passmark benchmark compared to 700 in this laptop.
