Is this through EPP or just regular consumer pricing?

My epp shows $1,422.95 for the base Y720 model for comparisons sake

Same/similar to OPs top model is showing $1,499.00

I think it's EPP but for some reason available to everyone. It's the same for the Yoga and Flex threads. I don't think anyone has gotten their orders cancelled yet.

Also. The keyboard is english-French. And for some reason, the y720 is showing up as $1015 for me. Really tempted to order it now...

How are their keyboards? I remember it being annoying getting English French ones before.

The $1015 one doesn't come with a 128GB PCIe SSD. Might as well spend the extra $50 for one unless you already have a spare m.2 ssd lying around.

as far the price of gaming laptops go these seem like insanely good deals..the Y520 also says it's Max Q graphics card design...isn't that pretty new?

Yeah, that Y520 is almost 50% off. Although I wish Lenovo used it on something that was thinner and lighter. The point of these Max Q GPUs is being able to use them on ultra-portables because of their efficiency. Lenovo instead is just slapping them on laptops that previously can only handle a 1050Ti.

Max Q is reduced version of the same chip, something like 30% less cuda core or core clock.

the max q design is definitely new, but its only for people that want really thin laptop with a cut down 1060/1070/1080. The max Q design is a lower TDP version so it will have lower core and memory clocks. I would avoid them unless you absolutely need the ultra thin laptops. Go with the regular 1060 or 1050ti over the max Q in my opinion.
