[Lenovo Canada] LENOVO USB-C portable 250GB SDD 47% off with leather pouch and cables. Limited online stock $127.05

I just saw this Portable SDD with 250GB capacity and 47% discount. It has good design and comes with a nice leather pouch , a usb-c to usb-c and a usb-c to usb-A cable. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. Limited stock on Lenovo Canada site.

Why though? A Crucial MX500 250GB SSD is only $65 on Amazon. A hard drive enclosure is $15. A USB C to A adapter is $10 for two. I don't think a faux leather pouch is worth 37 dollars. Plus it is just cumbersome for SSD's. Hard drives would need one to provide some shock resistance, but not SSD.

Bought the PNY Elite 240GB portable USB 3.0 a year ago for $79 so I would wait for better deals or buy a nvme SSD plus enclosure.

The cover might not be but all those steps and using an adapter for some people is worth the $37 (Not to include the warranty)

Crucial has warranty too...

What steps? Do you mean to put the SSD in an enclosure? that's not much harder than putting an external hard drive in a pouch.

This is RFD. 37 dollar is 30% off of the price on this Lenovo product. That's a pretty big deal.

This thing is a lot smaller than a SATA drive in an enclosure, but unless you actually need a smaller drive, probably better to just get a 500GB drive and an enclosure for the same price.

The Samsung T5 500GB SSD was $130 for months last year, so even compared to other USB SSDs, you are paying a lot extra for a leather case
RFD is not just about saving money, it's about the thrill of the hunt and not paying full price like Joe Shmoe did. This applies to everyday items as well as high end items that I don't really need.

The small size of the HDD and 2 sets of cables are nice. Does anyone know what brand SSD is inside the enclosure, though? Hopefully they didn't cheap out. The good thing with Samsung externals is that you know it's a quality samsung product inside.
