Should I go for the 1920 x 1080 IPS or the 2560 x 1440 IPS.

Some people think the 1080 screen is pretty crappy. I only plan on using it for office applications, but I want it to last a while.

deal not so great but the computer is pretty good

I have this computer - bought it in Nov for 1097 using IBMEPP

1080 screen is pretty good to me - 1440 seems like overkill on a 14"

save 5 bucks more through IBMEPP!

all you really need is a port replicator, it could support with 3 external monitors.

so save some money with with basic screen set up in my opinion is good, unless you are using the laptop monitor all the time.

My home set up monitor is a apple 27.

windows 7
It's the reason I still buy business notebooks. They actually HAVE Windows 7 drivers.

Although it looks like this is the end of the line.
T490 looks like Windows 8.1 as a bare minimum according to the support site.

Pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, 1080p anti-glare, 13.3-14", i5 8th gen, good battery, & 512 SSD.

Is the ram upgradable to 16 GB though and are there any similar but lighter more ultrabook-ish laptops in the sub-$1300 price range outside of that Zenpad with the messed up trackpad?

Running a t440 that was dropped 7 feet onto concrete. Cracked half the bottom and lost some of the corner but has been running fine for 3 years otherwise. My wife’s MacBook Pro (2015) slipped off the bed onto carpet and shattered the glass.
