What about the IdeaPad? I'd be very interested to know if it won't be 35% too instead of 25%. So worst deal on ThinkPad and better deal on IdeaPad.

Yeah, I'm interested in the IdeaPad too.. but just wanted to wait for a confirmation from others before buying.
Has anyone bought their IdeaPad yet? Any thoughts on it?

I asked if I ordered today, what would be my options if a better deal came up on Boxing Day. She said you could cancel your order. The worst case scenario is if they already manufactured it, and in that case you would wait to receive it and return it - at no charge. Then order the Boxing Day deal.

Considering her info says the Boxing Day deal is going to be 35%, I think I'll use the RFD coupon today. I'm posting this as info for other RedFlagers to know what's involved and make the best decision for them.

Any official info (from RFD moderator or Lenovo) could help us all.

What you heard is consistent with my information. You've got a pretty clear course of action anyhow -- if it somehow tops our exclusive (doubtful), you can cancel your order as a last resort.

You can only cancel the order if it not ship yet... If they send you email saying Lenovo is shipping your order, you can't cancel anymore... You have to receive and return it... They will charge you 15% restocking fee... So only buy at Lenovo if you absolutely want the product...

I believe you can config and use the coupon then save the order as a quote, which is good for a short while (2-3 weeks I think). The option to do this was just before the final step in checkout when I did it a year ago. That is their equivalent of PMing.

Why do their netbooks not have an HDMI port?

I can't seem to find anything with a screen under 12" that has HDMI

Wow great deal guys!

Honest to god I was going to buy my laptop last week from lenovo but got busy and put it off. Last week I priced the laptop at $2200. Tonight I just ordered it with the RFD coupon.

I could get the same laptop for $1600 in the US, so I was going to dive over the border to pick it up. I just bought it here in Canada for cheaper than the US price. Thank you Lenovo/RFD for saving me from driving to the US and dealing with border people!

You made 1 mistake with your order...
4 GB PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM 1067MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)

You should of went with 1 DIMM... then you could have upgraded if need be. now they are giving you 2 x 2GB modules instead of 1 x 4GB...

They were the same price I believe....

I think the coupon validity date has expired ... ("The offers expire on December 23 at 11:59 PM."). Lenovo calculates the new date as 12:00 AM I believe of the new date (while Dell calculates the new date as 4:00 A.M. of the new date, which means that will Dell, you get the whole extra day available).

The code still works.

I just bought the Y560, $840 all in with HST.

Read reviews online and this laptop seems like an absolute beast.

I've always preferred having 2 sticks in my computers. With 4gb of RAM I should not have to worry about upgrading for another 2-3 years at least. Even then I can just pick up 2x4gb sticks

Did the rep happen to say which models would be 35% off - all of them?
If it is 35% off, that will work out better for the model I had in mind (Thinkpad Edge).
