is there a way to get to the EPP page from the main page? ie is it possible to collect reward points (aeroplan, via points) and take advantage of the EPP discounts since the reward points page takes you to the main lenovo page?

If I want something light yet powerful enough to run Adobe CS4 which series should I look for? Would the X series notebook be able to handle it?

Thanks!
I bought the Y series that is $799 using this. 10% off. It's 4 weeks delivery though.
I may cancel it if a better sale goes up. But $720 wasn't bad.

Wrong. It's obvious that most of the people who post here understand nothing about computers. All things being equal, a faster CPU is better. But....for most applications, it is the amount of memory, and not the cpu speed that primarily determine execution speed. What really slows down execution is swapping to disk due to insufficient memory. More memory means less swapping. You need at at least 2 GB and probably 3 to keep from having swapping be a problem. A computer with 1 GB with run like crap, even with the fastest CPU. On internet stuff, CPU make no difference because the speed bottleneck is the network.
The only time that CPU speed makes a difference is in high numerical applications like graphics processing (and even then it won't help on large images if you have low memory because you still need disk swapping) and compression/decompression.
In sum, you are better off investing you extra $50 in more memory than in a faster CPU.Last edited by Eyeman; Aug 15th, 2009 at 10:25 AM.

true, but in a laptop situation it's a lot easier to pump in more memory than swapping the cpu for a faster one later.
i would personally rather spend $50 getting hte faster cpu and then in a months time or whatever spend an extra $50 and buy a 2gb ram module.
then get the best of both worlds

Dang. If I didn't get the x61t last year (well this year due to the fiasco), the x200t is so tempting.
And I'd have to agree about upgrading the CPU now, as RAM upgrades are far cheaper done afterwards usually. Also remember your upgrades also are 15-20% off too.

since CS4 now uses the CPU and GPU i imagine that a good processor and discrete graphics option would be your best bet. Just make sure the processor isnt one of intel's low voltage options. A P-series processor would be ideal
and for those who are wondering about shipping times. I ordered mine on 8/10 and received a shipping confirmation 8/15. Lenovo's estimations can be off at times because they told me my laptop wont ship out until 8/26Last edited by SuPaFleXx; Aug 15th, 2009 at 12:07 PM.

Do you think they will PM this "EPP friends + coupon" to my earlier X200t order which is still in transit (visaperks + some earlier random discount)? This one gets about $140 cheaper + tax.
They have billed me already, but I haven't got anything via UPS yet.

Why does X200s only has WXGA+ TFT option for screen?
I thought they are all LED?
