That's a very nice deal. I remember the regular non-carbon version of the X1 costing much, much more. If I didn't have my x220....

Too expensive for what it is. Microsoft Surface is around the corner, it will be lighter and has pretty much same hardware for half price, not to mention comes with windows 8 pre installed. These ultrabooks need their prices at least halved. No way I am paying 1k for tablet hardware.

There's a promotion going on for SPC card holders to get a 25% discount on Lenovo laptops , anyone know how to get it on this laptop ? I don't think there's a code or anything.

I am debating between 4gb ram or 8gb ram model. please help :(
I doubt most users would notice the difference, unless your doing lots of RAM-intensive work all day (photo editing, video editing, etc). If you're using Office, browsing, youtube, etc - 4gb will be fine and you can bank the $300 towards your next PC.

It is a price increase worth of Apple, they slap on an extra $250 for about $10 worth of parts.

I'd be all over it otherwise, but an extra $400 just to move to a larger SSD and more RAM is highway robbery. Add to that that the battery life isn't that great and I'll probably be looking at a Series 9, unless Lenovo do a bit more about that price.

the battery can be charged 80% in 30 minutes, not a big deal breaker imo, but agree that they overcharge the memory/ssd upgrade...
is the a mSata occupied by the mobile card? no options to add extra ssd like it is in x230 then...

This a very hot deal. If I didn't have a laptop now I would be all over this. Thanks OP.

Not enough ports (2 USB and 1 mini-display port), too expensive to upgrade ($250+), gets hot if CPU is "stressed", and low-average ultrabook battery life. Definitely a cold deal for me!

i been eyeing this too. heard because the battery is internal, it gets more cycle usage vs removable ones, ie 2000 to 500? or something like that.
