Ordered the $979 deal on Friday. Blazing hot, but for someone who doesn't need dual graphics the $849 deal is also killer :)

I talked to a couple reps and they all said it cannot be done for orders to Canada.

Wow, that's an incredible deal makes me want to 'drop' this laptop by accident just to buy a new one!

What an insanely powerful laptop for $1000. Enjoy people!

You would be crazy not to buy the sli version. It will cost you a ton after wards to upgrade - ultrabay and psu = $300 upgrade.

Would've bought this if it came with standard keyboard and an SSD. Still a very good deal! Haswell CPU is coming out though.

Very true, but I think Haswell will be more of an Ultrabook and desktop thing. Lower power consumption, onboard VRM, and better onboard graphics won't benefit a gaming laptop too much imo

For those interested in the extra warranty I suggest you call in. I've ordered 3 times from Lenovo and they've been able to discount the warranty every time. If you get a rep who insists that the warranty cant be discounted try a different rep.

I am still thinking if I want to get this. I heard that there were issues with the keyboard and the touchpad. And also about the Wireless Display. The battery is not as good because it doesn't have the Optimus to turn off video cards when the video cards aren't in use.
What would be a better laptop for video editing and gaming?
