[Visions Electronics] Lenovo Yoga A12 12.2" Touchscreen Intel Z8550 / 32 GB / 2 GB RAM / Android 6.0 Convertible Laptop (ZA1Y0034US) $198.00

https://www.visions.ca/catalogue/catego ... ZA1Y0034US

Previous low was 248.00, new low price 198. Free Shipping. Extra $7.92 off for in store pick up (subject to availability).

Android 6.0 is a bit dated and the screen resolution is not the best; but good enough for general use. 2GB ram, 12.2 inch screen, huge battery. Looks good to me to have around the house. The halo keyboard has a step learning curve I heard.

I'm curious to hear opinions from anyone who has used this unit or a similar one.

I'm wondering if an Android computer will give me less technical support questions from my 80 year old father. Or maybe I did just install some kind of remote application like VNC to take control of his Windows 7 computer.

This would be hot if the resolution was 1080p.

This is like a laptop right? And the screen isn't detachable from the keyboard?

I see the memory is soldered on but what about the HD space? Upgradable? Any expandable storage? If so what's the largest tested memory card that works?

Wonder if this is a good pick up for my kid turning 5. Thinking for ocassinal use. Probably would disbale Internet for their account. Let them use it to watch a couple of shows here and there. Good for travel while on road trips to keep them busy? Use for educational games / software that Android has?
