The only time I've had an issue with Leon's is when they delivered broken furniture and I refused delivery. The next day they made it right.

So I have to ask, what makes Leon's worse than any other furniture store?

Personally, I haven't stepped foot in Leon's since the whole Brick merger. Before that, I found the quality of product very poor and quite expensive for what it is. There are better deals out there from other merchants. To quote the now unemployed former ING Direct guy, "Save your money."

The only one time I purchased a piece of furniture, i got delivered something different to what I ordered; refused delivery and the delivery company was rude... then it was quite a task to explain to the store why I refused delivery and that what I got delivered was wrong, they wanted to charge me extra for the new delivery, the salesman was nowhere to be seen to provide support.... it was a nightmare

I am super curious as to where people buy furniture then. Like I need to buy a whole house worth in a couple years when I get my new place and I'm maximum unsure where people even go now...

Me too, need to know. I bought a sofa a the Brick and it’s been a nightmare. I’m looking at Structube but the one I’m interested in is too expensive for my simple needs (it got 2 motors inside which I dont need at all)

Never had issues with the furniture I bought at Leons 10 years ago. Bought a table set, bedroom set, couch and loveseat.. I had the couch and loveseat protected and its still in pretty good shape to this day, even with a 6 year old.

I think some people just want to point out negative so they can get their post count up and likes. :)

Not sure about costco, ...I mean - I like going grocery shopping, but for furniture ? ! Never heard of mobilia....
Ikea, I personally don't like that their furniture scream Ikea... so when people come to you home, they know right away where they are from....
January is a great month to purchase furniture, as most stores / online stores have fantastic sales on. For example, mattresses,,, I just bought one on furniture.ca as their current sale is offering furniture and mattresses for up to 60%. I purchased the Simmons DeepSleep Ultra Nesbit Firm Queen Mattress and Boxspring Set for $699 (saved $200), not bad - my guests will be happy. This is also my first time that I purchased such item online as I like going to the store. I guess there is a first time for everything.

So you don't have your place yet?

Thanks OP for some ideas on where to go. I got my own place but I'm looking to upgrade in a couple years and likely needing new couches and furniture to go along with it as most of mine is inherited (i.e. abandoned) by my family and is firmly 1990s at best. Will need new living room, mattress for sure cause it is so uncomfortable, kitchen tables, office furniture, etc. I got dining room in storage and I'm sure my bedroom will be fine though. Everything else I'll need.

IKEA is made from cheap material and overpriced. I personally like Structube. Better material and same price as IKEA.
