[Staples] Lexar JumpDrive S70 64GB USB $69.96 Staples, PM FS = $63.96

Hot, IMHO. Starts Sept 21.

Can't say how fast it is. But that's really, really good for 64GB.

It's $69.96 at Staples, $129.95 regular price at FS. Price match @110% = $63.96 at FS.

Good security software on this drive. Haven't looked closely at speed yet but for this price I'm in for one. Thanks OP!

10mb write... ugh. For a 64GB drive that's a bit too slow. Also you're better off with a USB3 64GB drive if you need one. The 32GB for $19.99 at Staples on Saterday would be a better buy.

I can confirm, I bought two, very slow...........

+1..Both the 16gb and 8gb Lexar were slower when compared with my Kingston.

Can you tell us more about the security software and why is it good?

It's slow. I bought one today. I'm getting about 7MB/sec, tops. My Patriot XT 8GB writes at over 150MB/sec.

On the other hand, it's 64GB, so it's good for my needs.

You mean 150 mbs?

Based on USB 2.0, the max thruput is 480 mbs which is 60 MBs.

I also have Patriot XT 8GB and Patriot XT 16GB, Patriot Singature 32GB. The XTs are faster than most of the other flash drives, but they never exceed 22MBs.
