anyone know where I can get cheap picture frames that are of acceptable quality?
I don't want to pay $10-$40 for a picture frame from blacks, nor do I like the quality of frames from the dollar store.
There's gotta be a nice simple 8x10 frame out there for $5 or so.

Blacks has some frameless frames for a pretty good price, less than $10.
Also Japan Camera sometimes has a 20% off everything sale so things go on sale then save an additional 20%. You gotta watch out for the sales._______________

Garage Sales / Basement sales / Garbage day
you would be surprised what people throw out

Some Horrible pictures are mounted in some real nice frames
Also try some antique shops , in Hamilton , on Locke Street , there are probably 20 antique shops too choose from

I was looking for some 8x10 frames a while ago, and yeah, I was looking for some cheap, simple ones too. I ended up finding what I wanted at a dollar store.
They're basically just a piece of glass, with a particle board back. Four little clips keep the glass onto the board. There's no border around the image, which is the look I like best. So look around at a couple of dollar stores, you might find something similar. If not, then yeah, Ikea has a good selection.
