LF: Adjustable weight set - dumbbells
Hi,
I'm in a condo and very low on room. I'm also on a tight budget, so I want to see if I can find a pair of these used...
Looking for either the Bowflex/Nautilus SelectTech dumbbells or the Powerblocks... or some other brand that goes up to at least 45lbs...
Maybe a small mat and an adjustable bench as well... but the most important are the adjustable weights...
Let me know if you have some or know where to get a cheap pair!

...the moving company who stole mine likely sold 'em cheap. Sorry, had to get that off my chest! Powerblocks even at regular price are worth it. Don't wait for a cheap pair - they're the very best

The 5-45lb. one I heard requires an adjustment everytime the weight changes... is that true? I want something quick and easy, just a pin or a dial or something.
I hope I can find a cheaper pair of these things...

Power blocks are awesome. They adjust weight in about 5 seconds! I love mine. Thinking of getting the 20lb handle upgrade. Anyone ever get this? Is it worth it?

What set do you have? I think the 5-45lb. ones are different than the lighter and heavier versions... at least that''s what I read.
Someone who owns them, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I had (note, past tense) a pair of personal powerblocks, which were 45lbs total weight. There is an adjustment that is required, it takes a millisecond, if you take too long!
All you do is pull out a pin and place it in the weight range you want. It is the very best dumbbell ever. I purchased mine second hand, but anyway - now I don't have them.
It's a pin, and it's fine engineering!

Just use the personal set. Once you decide you need more than 90 lbs (45 lbs X 2 dumbbells) then you can consider add'ons.

Fitness Depot typically stocks them, or Fitness Source
