LF: Basic Desktop for my Grandmother
Folks,
My 83 year old grandmother needs a new desktop. Not sure whether or not I've missed out on the boxing day deals, but does anybody have a line on a deal that satisfies following req's?
-No monitor required
-Basic internet, email and MsOffice use, nothing fancy
-CD/DVD burner would be nice
-Location = Markham
-Price (hopefully) < $400
-Want to buy in the next 2 weeks
If Dell had the old Dimension 1100 deal going, I'd probably go for it. Does it make sense to wait & see about any promotions in January?
Appreciate any advice,
Thx
Rich

I noticed that when I was at www.futureshop.ca they had their Jan clearance sale in full swing. I don't know if there's anything there you'd be interested in, but it's worth checking out.
and if not, at least it's a bump to the top of the page

go to tigerdirect.ca
I bought a pretty decent PC over the summer for $300 + taxes.
It's got a DVD burner, 160 gig HD, XP, 512 ram, blah blah blah.
