LF: Cellphone plan for exchange student.
I have a friend who is only going to be in Toronto for, at the most, a year and a half. What is her best cellphone option in terms of plan and phone? She would like unlimited incoming calls, reasonable long distance rates and good roaming capabilities; she doesn't need a really fancy phone. I'm guessing her best bet would be prepaid services, but any suggestion would be appreciated.

Check on virgin..
http://virginmobile.ca
they have a low cost nokia color phone (2125i)
and some good packages in pay as u go which seems to suit ur friends need..
From their allnighter plan
Talk all night? Choose our All Nighter plan: you get unlimited local calls from 6PM 5AM for $24/month. Still want more? Get unlimited local incoming calls for an extra $7 a month.
In virgin's website the nokia is priced at $79, but check on zellers, shoppers drug mart, futureshop, 7 - 11 or places where where they sell virgin, usually one of them may have a sale for this nokia. During sale this used to sell around 40 -55 dollars
