Friggin' 6 month old Maxtor Diamondmax 160 Gb crashed. Spins up but keeps trying to recalibrate the head (can hear it smashing against the stops).

The data on it is not critical - just a pain to re-create.
I got one quote around $1000 to recover it. Does anyone know of a place that could do it for less? Pref. in the GTA.

And no, I don't need the lecture about back ups... that was in progress
