LF - CHEAP Plasma TV Wall Installation
Does anyone have a good, cheap, reliable contact to install a 50" plasma TV on the wall who also knows how to do the wiring etc.
I'm located in Thornhill / Vaughan area.
Please let me know - thanks for your help!!!

Do you want someone cheap (i.e. inexperienced) hanging your new TV on the wall? If it falls off, you think your "cheap" contractor is going to pay? DIY, or pay the bucks to have it done right.

So do you have a name of an "experienced" person then?

If I lived near you, I'd help you, pretty easy as a DIY with a studfinder, and I'd make it so you could hang off the mount like a monkey. And if you have an HDMI switching receiver, it's only one HDMI cable to the TV. Everything plugs into the receiver.

My point was if you want quality work, you'll have to pay for it. I'm in the business, so maybe I'm just a little too sensitive to the word "cheap" since it has other connotations. "Inexpensive" would have been a better wording imo. "Cheap" gets you on Holmes on Homes.
You can do this easily yourself though, and use a paintable on-wall wire track, or just drop the cables down the wall. If you have to go horizontally, it's more of an issue and I'd call in a pro. A great FREE resource with pictures is Crutchfield who have a series of PDF guides (like DIY books) on DIY entertainment projects like hanging your TV.
