If you're planning to spend $800 the Nikon d5200 with 18-140 lens is also $799 with accessory kit at FS

You said looking to keep it under 500$ but you post two others over 500? When it comes to cameras generally people want to know what you plan to use it for (some are better at video or still images), you want a kit or just a body?

Yeah sorry for the confusion. I didn't realize how expensive they are. I'm buying the camera for still pictures, not video. I don't really need a kit. I can buy that stuff later. But if there is a really good package deal, I don't mind pulling the trigger.

Ya bodies average 499 for Sl1 and 599 for kits. I believe for video you would want t3i and sl1 for stills. Don't know if you're interested in Nikon but D3200 bodies on sale everywhere around 389-399 (469 for kit) and most reviews/comparisons for stills beats the t3i and the sl1.

Could you provide links to these deals?

You don't need links because they are pretty much the same at all stores and you can price match I'm sure: Future Shop, Bestbuy, Aden camera, Merkle camera, Memory Express, Henry's, Vistek, Camera Canada, The Camera Store, Simon's camera, Photo Expert, Broadway camera

For the US: B&H photo, Adorama, Beach camera etc.

Correction even better: Prices seem to be even lower for bodies now must have been in the past 24hrs or yesterday but t3i body 399 (Henry's) best price I see others 419

$499+tax = $564

3) Used (6 months old) Nikon D3200 With 18-55mm lens

Staples also had the Canon T3i for $499 but sent out $40 off $400 coupons after and Staples promptly raised the price by $40 to $539.. The coupon expires today but if you had one you could go to Staples and PM the T3i for $499 and apply the $40 coupon in store.

Well done!

I just bought the T3i with 18-55 mm lens for $489 from Henrys. You almost made me go back and pay the $100 extra for the T5i but after doing more research I think the differences are minimal. Enjoy the new camera!

I don't get it. I just called BestBuy to get a pricematch on the T5i and the girl told me they cannot pricematch items in limited quantity. How did you guys get the pricematch at BestBuy?

Thanks! Bestbuy was sold out so I went by 2001AudioVideo at heartland last Saturday and picked it up. Still a sweet deal!
