Good news : Get one with usb / flash card support (like the yahoo! one at walmart) and enjoy.Originally Posted by zepperdude

Why? Well it'd cause a lot of wear and tear on the mechanical parts by jumping from spot to spot on the disc for one. In fact, I have a mp3-enabled cd player that died after two months and "excessive use of the random play feature" was the diagnosis from an RCA technician (yes, they actually sent a professional to look at it, and to their credit they gave me a better machine).

LF: DVD Player with special remote
I am looking for a DVD Player that plays MP3's (off a DVD) and has a shuffle button on the remote. Is there such a thing?

I had a cheap Sony model a year or so back - combined VHS and DVD - that I got from Costco for under $150 and it has shuffle accessible from a menu and plays MP3 from DVD. The remote had a button that said "replay/shuffle" and was accesible from a menu where you had to hit stop twice then the replay/shuffle button.
Sorry I dont remember the model number.
