Lf Lenovo Thinkpad 12" screen with built in DVD player

Does this exist?

I did a Google search and found the X201s had a built in DVD drive but for some reason Lenovo discontinued it.

All that's left is the X201 which has no builtin DVD option. All you can do is buy some bulky base to use as a DVD drive.

The X201 NEVER had an optical drive.

The unit you are looking for is the X301

Why would you want to ruin a great notebook with something as useless as a DVD?

If you are on the road, chances are you will not need a DVD.

The only real small laptop that i've seen with a built-in optical drive is the Toshiba portege series.

I've been watching DVD's more often lately, I agree that otherwise it's not that useful.

I checked lenovo Canada's site and somehow X301 isn't one of the marketed X series.

It looks like it has been discontinued. It was never cheap, I think the cheapest I've ever seen it was over $1700 to start.

The X301 is not a 12.1" though, it's a 13.3".

As mentioned, the Toshiba Portege series have the internal optical drive.
