LF: mahjong set

where does one find a good set for a good price??... any recommendations in the GTA?... there is a few in pmall but am unsure about what to really look for... its going to be a gift to my uncle and well he wanted a mahjong set... any suggestions would be appreciated.. thanks

If I recall correctly that the PM set was a little small (3X2x1.5cm) I prefer the bigger and heavier tiles (5x3x2cm) . I saw a couple stores on Dundas (Spadina) have those big tiles sets W&Y Trading and another dvd shop 4,5 stores down from W&Y (easterly). I suggest you should ask your uncle what size he perfers too.

sorry don't know the current prices but about 5-6 yrs back it was $180.

Why are they so expensive?! I've been looking to get one too and those sets don't seem affordable...
