went to the automall today and went around looking at 7 seaters and reevaluated the Pilot and actually found it to be quite roomy. Im 6'4 and i had plenty of leg and headroom. Accessiblity to the 3rd row was not bad. It was asking for 43000 for a 2009 EX-L with Entertainment package. This is probably the one. I looked at the Highlander and it was way smaller and pricier

Have you looked at the Toyota Sequoia? It's a big 8 passenger SUV...

AUDI Q7 TDI with the 3rd row seating, they say it'll seat 7, but we haven't tried it yet..only 5 so far.
I think the MB GL320/350 will also seat 7.
The the clean diesel's in these things are pretty nice. Especially if you have to tow something as well.
In Calgary city driving (which is mostly Deerfoot) and driving to the cottage every other weekend, we are averaging 9.8L/100km, that's better than my wife's G35x did.

_______________
Would you be willing to pay $58 more for an iPod produced in North America?
My Answer: NO. I get the same Ipod with the same functionality...where is the the benefit to me? As, I've said before, I will get more out of my $58 dollars by lighting it on fire, because it will produce heat. If I wipe my a$$ with that $58 dollars, I will need to buy less toilet paper. IF I buy the made in North America Ipod for $58 more, I get absolutely nothing more out of it.

The new 2010 pilot does provide a little more space than the previous version. Still not as comfortable as larger, domestic 7 passenger SUV. If your looking for 4WD, 7 passenger, why not a Honda Odyssey or Sienna.

ive always been a honda fan. My first car was a 86 prelude and now im driving a 2001 civic and my wife has a 03 CRV. Theres not much 09 Pilots available right now. I've looked in the US and there are still a few floating around but really concerned about the warranty void.I saw a dealership online say that they have partnered up with a Financial institute to provide warranty North American wide but I assume that is going to be added costs.
I saw the Sequioa but its way to big and a gas guzzler. Q7 is nice but way out of my price range

if you want to spoil all 7 passengers : MB GL320
And it does not look awlkwardly big either. Hefty price tag.
Pilot is probably a fine choice overall.

I own a Veracruz, my brother an MDX- The Veracruz has a little more headroom, BUT the bulky shape of the PILOT would make it the best in class in terms of 3rd row head height. If you want any more, you will need to get over your Japanese brand snobbery and try Ford or GM.
Are you SURE you need the extra space in the third row? I Have had 6 people in my car on a few occasions but I think you will find that you rarely pack that many into the truck because the third row affords you very little storage space._______________

Toyota SUV has less maintenance, I go with a Highlander and if that's too much gas to spend on, I go with a RAV4.
