LF: Visa debit card for gift giving

Not sure whether these are available in Canada or not but am interested in buying. Am looking for either visa, mastercard, or amex

You can get Visa Gift Cards now in Canada at Citi Bank I believe and at Vancity (GVR only). It's still pretty new [to Canada] so that's why it's hard to find.

MasterCard and Amex gift cards are not availiable in Canada yet, only to corporations i belive as i've seen companies like Microsoft/Intel give these out but you can't publically purchase them.

How do you "buy" them from citibank? Can you provide a link?

They definately are available in Canada now. They are very new though. I seem to remember it being Mastercard and not Visa that is available publicly at the moment. Either way, search around, they're definately out there just not common as in the states yet.

When I bought my Michelin tires they gave me a Visa Gift Card. It was issued by Citizens Bank. The Customer service number is 866-409-8846.
