I definitely wouldn't pay for a Vizio if the difference is $200 more for the X900F. I don't think the 55" X900F will be as low as $1100 though. More likely $1200. And it's still worth the extra $300, in my opinion.
Arguable. The X900F is good value for money, but it's not supremely better, especially considering the lack of a Costco $60 5-Year warranty option on the P55... possibly at $899 on Black Friday.

The X900F won't fall below $1199 on BF, and probably cost more.

I agree with pricing. If your biggest option is to save money, and possibly to put that extra money you would have spent on the X900F to get a sound bar instead, it's not a bad option.

But I'm personally not fond of Vizio or having to play display roulette until you finally hit the jackpot.

Different tastes. I must respect that.

If Hibbings contact was recently offering it for $1099, then it's certainly a possibility

Best Buy won't match that. I'll bet my left kidney on that. They're worried about selling things at cost as is. It's a fairly safe assumption that Visions sold the 55" X900F for $1099 at cost, just to get some more customers locked up for the future. Best Buy doesn't give a shit about that.

It really is a shame. Supporting the smaller guys really can be beneficial sometimes. I'm all for getting a good deal on something big like a TV, but I do tend to remember who gives me a good deal, and will be more comfortable shopping there even when there isn't any sort of deal. Best Buy, sadly, doesn't understand that. I miss Futureshop.

I'm with you 100%. I went 10 years between my plasma and the x900f (which I got for $1200) so I'm hoping I'll be able to hold out another to with the Sony. The Vizio seems like more of a wild card, and with the stock levels looking the way they are I'm not sure Costco is going to need to heavily discount them. The x900f is a safe bet at $1200.00 bucks and is also a modestly better TV overall. Better viewing angle and reflections as well which never gets brought up.

Is the costco 5 year warranty only available for the Vizio ? Or can Sony, LG etc get them as well? Asking because I’m planning on buying a 55” and a 65” on BF from costco (assuming price is the same) for 2% back and no hassle with returns

Reflections are pretty damn good on the X900F. Congrats on getting one for $1200. Teletime? Or somewhere else? Really hoping it's that price for the 55" universally via Best Buy.

$59 for 5yr warranty on TV's under $1000
$99 for 5yr warranty on TVs over $1000

Yeah, Teletime. I was thinking the same thing about Best Buy. I'm sure the return policy would be better. Didn't want to wait and chance being left without options though which is why I pulled the trigger early. I haven;t heard a lot about people needing to return the Sony due to imperfections though.

$1899.99 for X900F best deal for the price range? Probably going to pull the trigger on this - QLED and OLED are not in my price range.

Nah, I just purchased from Visions instead. They were easy to deal with.
