homeandtechdeals (Top Choice) on eBay

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/292714450332

65C8PUA 65" OLED $2799.99 free shipping. I think this might be the low.

55C8PUA 55" OLED $1949.99
Would anyone advise against ordering through eBay as opposed to direct from the store? I have been messaging a guy from the store but he couldn’t do less than $3000 shipped to Winnipeg when I talked to him a couple weeks back. I messaged him this evening asking if I should just buy it through eBay or if they would save on eBay fees if I bought direct instead.

Costco warranty doesn't cover burn in for LG OLEDs I am assuming? Only best buy does it seems. Btw does anyone know how much BB warranty would be on a 65 C8?

Even if it doesn't, I'd trust a Costco warranty WAY more than a BB warranty anyday.

Some people are also eligible for 10x cash back through eBay. The payout is usually in USD too.

True, but burn in probably the number 1 reason people would get an extended warranty on an OLED no? If Costco doesn't cover that then you might as well even save 100 and go without a warranty.

#1 is simply for peace of mind, burn in or not. I've had my Plasma 6 years and never experienced burn in

For GTA folks, you can wait until BF to get a slightly better deal than Hibbing price, assuming 65C8 drops to $2999.99 and 55C8 to $1999.99 at most authorized retailers.

Steps:

1. On Nov 22, bring two others with you and go to Scarborough Town Centre and buy $1000 STC gift cards each and get $100 bonus on each transaction (limited one transaction per person).
2. Go to Best Buy and buy the 65C8 for $2999.99 + $28 environmental handling fee. Pay with $3300 in STC gift cards and $121.63 remaining balance with credit or whatever. Total cost is $3121.63.
3. Savings of $3121.63 - $3139.14 (Hibbing price after tax and fees) = $17.51. This is equivalent to $2734.50 + tax and fees for the 65C8.

Similar math for the 55C8 works out to be $1823 + tax and fees. Doesn't beat Visions Mississauga Dundas's price of $1800, but still beats Hibbing price of $1900.

You can even buy Best Buy's extended warranty which covers burn in. Some caveats are that it's obviously more hassle to do it this way, and you wouldn't get your credit card's extended warranty because those require you to pay for the full purchase with your credit card. But if you are planning to buy extended warranty anyways and/or want burn-in protection, then this method can work for you.

Interesting idea. I guess nothing similar to that outside of GTA? Us Ottawaians are thirsty for TV deals too.

The time has come. Best Buy USA's Black Friday flyer is live.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/black-frid ... oorbusters

Time to freak out.

Edit:

Didn't see anything for the 55" model. $400 off is $200 off Best Buy USA's current price, so... if we use that metric with our own, 55" might be $300 off for our Black Friday? So $1299. Hope I'm wrong.

Probably worse than that as it is currently 100$ off for 1599.99. So it will go back to 1699.99 and then at best knock 300$ off that and you're more than likely looking at 1399.99 for the 55"

That Hibbing special being redacted will haunt me for a long time

I am looking at going big and I don't think the 85" X900F will come down to Hibbings infamous $4999. If it does, great, but Teletime quoted me $6200 which is out of my ballpark. At this point I am expecting a deal on the 85" X850F in the $4000 or lower range so I will probably pick this up.
