Don't know the diff. It'll be my first OLED so I"m not picky. My current LED is 70" and my wife insists we should not downsize...
Has been asked a few times re C8. Lowest found is in title for $7800 until they go on clearance due to C9 availability. These are rare TV's, not even in stock in many places.

I understand and I’ll be patient.

Having said that, knowing how rare they are, are they reliable? Like at least as good as the 55” and 65”?

Has anyone been able to get the 55C8 for Hibbing price in GVA/Lower Mainland?

Visions did very well with me on the 75x900f - lower than anywhere but I will not share the price. They have latitude with pricing for sure. Give them a go once the Hibbing specials are back up.

I did have a 65” C8 for a while before - the blacks were better in that for sure, but the blacks are more than good enough on the X900F and the extra 10” makes a bigger difference. Couldn’t justify 2-3x more for a 77” OLed and now I have no burning concerns (real or imagined). In five years I’m sure OLeds will be everywhere, cheaper, and burn-in free - I’ll go with it then.

I found a real 4K source like a UHD Blu-Ray/remux rip is required to really let the tv shine. 4K Netflix is certainly good, but not as great.

Pretty much, yes, but this was during Black Friday and Boxing week. London Drugs (where I got mine) had an in-store manager special of $1799 during Black Friday at the Cambie store. Other posters have reported similar pricing from Visions at the Coquitlam store (maybe a bit less with in-store pickup, but I cannot remember). I don't think you will see these prices close to those until around Superbowl time in February.

Good price for out west but the Hib was quite a bit lower.

I keep wondering if there will be any significant price cut on the 77”. I’d love to get it but can’t justify spending 3x as much for an extra 12”.

If they could bring it down to $5K, that would be great but likely won’t happen for another few years.

You will probably have to look at a 900f or Q6/Q7 to get in that range. Could get the 82” though!

Same boat here... I do not expect substantial price decrease until the new 10.5G plan becomes operational (2020 at the earliest). I heard that LG will be able to manufacture 75" OLED at a much cheaper price than the current 77".

Great summary to show how most people won’t be affected.
