LG 42PQ12 720P Plasma HDTV $699, 50PQ12 $899 At Future Shop Until 11/12/09?

This is the lowest official price on these displays that I have seen so far. They are fairly new, but they are essentially the same as the 42PQ30/20 that have been around most of the year. Less a Computer connection, 1 hdmi, and some power saver options.

This is also available at Best Buy. PM there for $689.
If you need delivery, PM at BB online and use the $50 off $500 code, if it ever starts working, to pay for the delivery.
If you can find a BB store without the PQ12 in stock, try for a PM and the Flat Panel In Stock Guarantee to get an extra $50 off and free delivery. For $639 and FD. YMMV. This will work best if the Best Buy has adjusted their price to compete with their Future Shop brothers.

To the best of my knowledge the PQ of the 42PQ60 is identical to the other LG 42" 720p displays. So IMO the PQ12 should be indistinguishable from the PQ60. Just missing those few things above, and without the cool single glass look of the 60.

that's great to hear.. I'm getting the 42PQ60 as my "free" tv from the brick. They seem to have had major issues with the regular off brand tv they usually give out so they're giving these out instead.

"Free" is good. Especially if they're financing it all for who knows how long?
Call me anal, but I always want to see how much I could get the furniture for, first, without the freeby, just to see where I stand in the deal.

I bought this TV few weeks ago when they had it for $699 and bought it only to use it with Xbox 360 and it's very nice so far. Pic quality is very good and I have not seen any issues with it. Well worth to use as a gaming TV.

I was quoted 4600 for a package at a store going out of business.. went to the brick and got them to give me a price of 5400 BUT it included a better mattress ($1000 more on the sticker price) and the tv... and I'll be able to go back and yell at them if something goes wonky.
sticker price $14,000... my price 5400 (taxes, delivery, finance all in for both numbers)

You just need to call CS by phone. If it's from a company on their list of PMable vendors they'll do it without too much trouble. If not you might have to F around a bit, and they might refuse.
By the way that coupon code(s), is not working, and BB seems to know nothing about it.
