Anyone figured out how to downgrade from 7.0 to 6.0? Tried LG flash tool with no sucess. The wifi is dogshit, won't connect to 5ghz, constantly dropping connection while my phone and laptop right next to it have no problems. I'm going to Fido to have them send it back to LGLfor repair or atleast downgrade it.

Did anyone get their tempered glass yet? How is it, and where did you order from???
I had ordered an "LG G Pad 8.0 Tablet Screen Protector" from xtremeguard and was about to put it on today. Noticed the camera hole doesnt line up :(

I was looking at this one on Amazon and it also is on the wrong side:
https://www.amazon.ca/Protector-IVSO-Ul ... E09C1SYEHG

Do I need to be searching for a specific model? The Cdn LG GPad 3 must be different?
Model numbers of this thingy might be confusing...

Our is LG G Pad III [LGV522] aka

LG G Pad X 8.0 (v521WG) [T-Mobile]

It seems all of these LG tablets have a wifi problem (software glitch likely?).
Especially aggravated after Nougat update (but it was there before on MM, as I recollect now).
It required to keep "wifi on when screen is off" option ticked, for wifi to be stable, otherwise it was disconnecting frequently..

Overall, it looks like a software glitch that might be fixed either with following updage, or with rooting,
so I'm thinking now about donating to "root bounty" at xda... :)
Ya agree... Too many wifi disconnects after 7.0update... I usually have data off and airplane mode on plus wifi on... Battery life is top notch tho... 7hrs SOT

Use adguard. You don't need root. It works great!
You can find a pro version apk if you search google.

Does the camera hole line up OK? From the diagram, the camera hole seems to be 9n the wrong side.
Just go with

LG G Pad X 8.0 (v521WG)

For me, there is no disconnects even on Nougat, if I enable option "wifi on when the screen is off",
but the battery life during sleep sucks then, ~150 hours vs ~1000 hours when wifi is completely off...
Need to recharge it too often ....

I don't notice any wifi disconnects on noughat. But what is weird is the tablet prefers 2.4 Ghz connection over 5 Ghz. I have the earlier generation tablet and it always chooses 5 Ghz over 2.4 Ghz.

I ended up exchanging mine. With the new one.. wifi is more stable. Previous one was disconnecting even while I was using the tablet.. like, go on a page on RFD.. read till the end.. when I get to the bottom and want to go to the next page.. disconnected!
Happy Canada Day!
