The net result now is, however, that displayed bitmap information looks good on this screen (wrt lower physical res screens).
Whish is all I care about :)
We all care about screen quality lol. What advertisers and publishers also care about more is the ability to monetize and keep the business afloat. If they think they are buying advertising on certain devices when they are not is what the issue is here.

The search term you're looking for is "pixel ratio". This tablet has a ratio of 2, hence a 1920x1200 screen being reported as 960x600 in your browser.
Now this is some good info. The numbers do add up. How does Is this ratio so that text is larger and easier to see? Interesting.

Thanks. Apparently this "pixel ratio" it is all linked to "CSS reference pixel", which is an angle of 0.0213 degrees, i.e. slightly above 1 angular minute, resolution of human eye... Makes sense... It is pointless to transmit more pixels to a device, than can be visible on it given typical viewing distance

https://www.w3.org/TR/css3-values/#reference-pixel

P.S. however the pixel ratio =2 for this device is definitely wrong.. it should be 1 IMO, given e.g 6in viewing distance :)
They probably calculated p.r.=2 it using 12in "standard" viewing distance, which is too far for a tablet?

Yea that was announced a couple months ago, nothing special, lower grade processor and way smaller battery just to make it thinner. Why? The g pad iii is already very thin and light

Glad I didn't hold out for the g pad 4. Have had a great experience with this tablet. Kids keep trying to take it over from me lol

is it just me or does this tablet have a great screen despite the low resolution (compared to ultra HD displays on flagships)?

Also any root progress :)?
1080p on this size screen is more than enough and I've been very impressed by the screen quality considering the price point of this device

And not just a little lower, down to 3000maH!

My new phone has a bigger battery than that!

Settings -> Storage -> Portable Storage. Look for the USB device, then tap the icon to the right.

Can anyone supply a link to a sleeve that fits the LG gpad III? Open ended would be find.

Thanks for any suggestions, Paul.
