Yea I mean heavier graphic games like PUBG, even on low it can’t keep up. Minecraft definitelt runs great in it, kids always stealing my tablet for it lol.

Might upgrade to an iPad, pubg plays on my phone great but it destroys the battery after a few rounds, would be nice to play it on the larger screen and battery

This month makes it two years since I’ve owned this tablet. Today my tablet randomly had vertical static lines flash across the screen. Not soon after my tablet is boot looping (bootloop) and doesn’t reach the home screen.

I was able to get it to turn on for a few seconds after leaving the tablet alone but the static lines showed up again and it got hit with another boot loop.

Would it be worth it to buy this tablet today? (The gpad 4 seems to have a smaller battery and i am nit looking to get an extra pack). Mainly need a tablet for reading, light browsing, and some media only (not a lot of streaming). Thank you.
This tablet is ubearably slow. I’d go for something else. There are threads on this forum that tell you how to get the G pad 4 for free through Fido although you’ll be paying $15 a month for 3GB of data (sometimes less $ a month).

Have two of these and [not to jinx it!!] no problems whatsoever...

You can add adoptable storage if you need more internal memory, but I didn't need it.

I’m able to resolve the bootloop when I connect my charger. Seems like a battery issue

Changing battery shouldn't be a big deal...think it would be worth it...

Didn't do it [yet] but I'd just Goggle it and get maybe something like this ??

There are usually kits [on eBay??] with couple of simple tools to help you take it apart that they sell with batteries... did it a few times on cell phones - shouldn't be any different..

The chances of that are slim. Otherwise the media would be full of reports of houses burning down after people replaced their cellphone/tablet etc. batteries.

In any case, even brand new Apple and Samsung, etc. products as well as used products whose batteries have been replaced by a brand-approved service outlet using OEM batteries have caught fire. Yes, it can happen. But I suspect your house is more likely to burn down because of a cooking accident, an electrical fault in the house wiring or a lightning strike.

I wish this tablet had bootloader unlock so there would be roms available and get rid of these spacing hogging default apps. My crappy Asus Tf101 had so many rom upgrades. i don't think we had one OS upgrade with this tablet from LG. terrible . . .

You either

* learn how to do it
* pay someone to do it for you or
* go and by the new device.

Narrower your Comfort Zone - more expensive it gets.

Great new usenow for this slow aging tablet... I use it as a harmony hub remote for all my devices... Especially quick if I need to change HDMI inputs
