LG L246WP HDMI(PS3) input problem

Hi guys, I need some help...

I want to connect my PS3 to this LG L246WP mon using HDMI to HDMI cable cuz this weird mon has only component, VGA, HDMI ports. but I can't get it to work. Normally if there's no signal detected, the mon will turn into HDMI power saving mode, but the mon displayed with grey colour when I connected it with HDMI cable from the PS3. so I guess it's receving data from the PS3. and that's all, nothing else showed up. Holding the ps3 power button for it to reset and to detect the HDMI output also didn't work.

is there any other method to try? or this mon simply doesn't support it?

ps3 lastest firmware
hdmi cable works fine on TV
mon works with DVI-HDMI cable (PC).

might be obvious, but have you set your ps3 to have an output with the hdmi cable? I believe it was under settings -> display. Just making sure.

he said he tried resetting (i assume he did the 5 second restart)... so basically it should auto detect it. maybe you have more than 1 hdmi port?

yes, ps3 was set to hdmi output. It's working on TV both in video and audio.

just 1 HDMI port for the monitor.

I also sent an email to LG about it, but nothing helpful.
